Green Field Senior Secondary School Unveils 'Kalakriti' Art Exhibition in Kangra

Celebrating Young Talent at 'Kalakriti'

In a vibrant display of creativity and youthful expression, Green Field Senior Secondary School in Nagrota Bagwan has launched an inspiring art exhibition named 'Kalakriti' at the renowned Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery.
This three-day event, taking place from May 25 to May 27, 2025, highlights the artistic talents and viewpoints of emerging student artists while honoring the significant artistic contributions of Nicholas Roerich.
The exhibition features original artworks from 16 student artists from Green Field School, alongside pieces that draw inspiration from the life and philosophy of the esteemed Russian painter and spiritual thinker, Nicholas Roerich.
Designed as a unique educational and artistic initiative, the exhibition aims to deepen the connection with Himalayan heritage and values through visual arts. The participating student artists include Suryansh, Saransh, Lakshya Thakur, Divij Shandilya, Sanchit, Pranav Kharwal, Divanshu, Shraddhul Dogra, Daksh Mehta, Angel Jamwal, Prachi Sharma, Pratyaksha Mishra, Vanshika Rana, Sanshika, Shaanvi Walia, and Navya.
The showcased artworks encompass paintings, sketches, and mixed media, each reflecting the students' interpretations of Himalayan landscapes, cultural identity, and spiritual heritage, all inspired by Roerich's artistic vision.
Principal Sudhanshu Sharma played a pivotal role in organizing the event, providing support and vision that made the exhibition a reality. The direction and conceptualization of 'Kalakriti' were led by dedicated faculty members, including Akshay Chaudhary, Viveka Sharma, and Ajnesh Kumar, who mentored the students and curated the exhibition with great attention to detail.
The event was honored by the presence of Dr. Karan Jeet, Block Medical Officer, as the chief guest. Renowned for his contributions to public health, Dr. Karan Jeet commended the young artists for their creativity and originality. He was accompanied by Dr. Jyoti Sharma, Medical Officer, who served as the guest of honor, inspiring both faculty and students with her commitment to healthcare and community service. Together, they inaugurated the exhibition and engaged with the student artists, offering encouragement and praise.
