WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 2025 Preview

This weekend's Saturday Night’s Main Event 2025 on the NBCUniversal Network will feature the WWE Women’s United States Championship match. Current champion Zelina Vega is set to defend her title against Chelsea Green, marking a significant rematch in their ongoing rivalry.

During the recent episode of Friday Night Smackdown, Michin and B-Fab triumphed over Chelsea Green’s team, The Secret Hervice, which includes Piper Niven and Alba Fyre. In a dramatic turn, Zelina Vega interrupted the match to prevent Green from interfering.

Earlier that night, a fierce backstage brawl between the two competitors led to the announcement of their championship match at Saturday Night’s Main Event 2025. Notably, Green was the first-ever Women’s US Champion, having claimed the title last December by defeating Michin in a tournament final.

In their previous encounter on April 25, during the post-Wrestlemania 41 edition of Smackdown, Zelina Vega defeated Chelsea Green to capture the Women’s United States Championship. This match took place shortly after Vega had pinned Green the week prior. Since then, Green has been eager for a rematch, which she will finally receive at Saturday Night’s Main Event 2025.

This championship bout will be one of the highlights of the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event 2025, which is set to take place tonight. WWE has also confirmed that the World Heavyweight Championship will be defended during the event, with Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena scheduled to compete in a non-title match against R-Truth.
