The road to the Money in the Bank 2025 ladder matches is heating up as WWE Superstars began qualifying during the latest episode of Friday Night Smackdown. The May 16 event, held at the First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina, featured two significant qualifying matches.

In the opening bout, Alexa Bliss triumphed over Chelsea Green and Michin in a thrilling Triple Threat Match, securing her spot in the Women’s Money in the Bank 2025 Ladder Match. Green nearly clinched the victory with her Unprettier finisher on Michin, but Bliss intervened, delivering her Sister Abigail DDT to claim the win.

Later that evening, Solo Sikoa faced off against Rey Fenix and Jimmy Uso in a Threat Match, successfully qualifying for the Men’s Money in the Bank 2025 Ladder Match. Despite interference attempts from Jacob Fatu and JC Mateo (formerly known as Jeff Cobb), Sikoa managed to pin Fenix after executing a Samoan Spike.

Following the match, LA Knight confronted Mateo for his interference during the US title match at Backlash, leading to an impromptu match where Mateo emerged victorious in his Smackdown debut.
