WWE Hall of Famer Critiques Tiffany Stratton's Victory Over Charlotte Flair
Stratton's WrestleMania Win Sparks Debate
Tiffany Stratton achieved a significant milestone in her WWE career by defeating Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 41 earlier this year. However, rather than propelling her career forward, many fans believe this victory has led to a decline, as her title reign has not resonated well in the aftermath of the event. In light of this, a WWE Hall of Famer has expressed support for Flair's performance in that match.
While some fans celebrated Stratton's win, others questioned the decision to have her face an experienced wrestler like Flair. Bully Ray, formerly known as Bubba Ray Dudley, argued that the result should have favored Flair instead.
During a segment on Busted Open Radio with co-host Dave LaGreca, Bully Ray stated that Stratton's victory over Flair at WrestleMania did not enhance her career trajectory. He pointed out that her recent interactions with WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus further indicated that fans are not invested in her as a champion.
“Charlotte Flair should’ve defeated Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania! Why should I care about Tiffany Stratton? What about Tiffany Stratton makes me care? What does she do? What does she say? What type of emotional investment should I have in Tiffany Stratton? This is why I say: WWE is becoming like a fast food chain,” Bully Ray remarked. (quotes courtesy Wrestling INC)

The discussion also highlighted that Tiffany Stratton is being portrayed as a babyface, despite her character not aligning with that role. Her persona resembles a pseudo-Vickie Guerrero, which naturally positions her as a heel. The absence of compelling attributes beyond her moonsault move fails to establish her as a babyface. Matching her against the established heel Charlotte Flair did not benefit her character development.
At the prestigious WrestleMania event held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, Stratton (c) successfully defended her WWE Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair in one of the event's co-main events. Initially, Stratton was meant to be the babyface in this rivalry, but negative fan reactions following her Royal Rumble victory altered the dynamics.
