WrestleMania 42 Set to Return to Las Vegas for 2026 Event
WWE's WrestleMania 42 Location Update
WWE has not yet made an official announcement regarding the venue for WrestleMania 42, following the withdrawal of the initially selected city. Recent reports suggest that Las Vegas is now the leading candidate to host this prestigious event for the second year in a row.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is nearing the finalization of a deal to bring WrestleMania 42 to Las Vegas in 2026. Although the official confirmation from WWE is still pending, Bryan Alvarez has indicated that significant progress has been made in the negotiations.
“Vegas is very close to being a done deal for WrestleMania next year. There were a few hurdles to be cleared, and several were addressed this morning. Vegas is making a lot of concessions to facilitate this.”
It appears highly likely that Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host WrestleMania 42, marking the first time the event will take place at the same venue for two consecutive years. This will also be the third occasion that WrestleMania is held in Las Vegas, following WrestleMania IX and WrestleMania 41.

Challenges Faced by WWE Regarding WrestleMania 42's Move to Las Vegas
Last month, the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation announced that WWE had informed them that WrestleMania 42 would no longer take place at the Caesars Superdome (formerly known as the Mercedes-Benz Superdome) on April 11 and 12, 2026. Las Vegas emerged as the primary contender to host the event that was initially planned for New Orleans.
The original dates of April 11 and 12, 2026, have been rescheduled to the following weekend, April 18 and 19, 2026, as reported by Fightful Select. However, WWE encountered complications with these dates due to a concert scheduled at Allegiant Stadium during that early weekend, which posed challenges for event preparations. Additionally, the Las Vegas Convention Center was already booked, complicating community program arrangements.
