Victory at the TNPA Women’s Tournament
On March 8, Ritanyaasri, Nikhitha, Lata, and Sonia achieved gold at the TNPA Women’s Tournament held in Chennai. This event, organized by the Tamil Nadu Pickleball Association, was part of the celebrations for International Women's Day. The winning team triumphed in the finals against Lakshmi B, Priyanka, Yashvi, and Swetha CV, showcasing their skills and teamwork.
The tournament attracted 50 enthusiastic participants, all competing in a vibrant and competitive atmosphere. Ritanyaasri and her teammates demonstrated exceptional coordination and consistency throughout the matches, ultimately facing a tough challenge in the final. Nevertheless, they maintained their composure during critical moments to secure the championship.
This tournament not only highlighted the increasing involvement of women in pickleball but also celebrated their accomplishments in the sport. By scheduling the event on International Women’s Day, the Tamil Nadu Pickleball Association aimed to encourage more female athletes to engage in the sport and inspire others to join.
The event concluded with the gold medal win for Ritanyaasri, Nikhitha, Lata, and Sonia, marking a significant celebration of sports and empowerment.
