West Indies Suffer Historic Batting Collapse Against Australia in Third Test
West Indies' Disastrous Innings
In a shocking display, the West Indies faced a severe batting collapse against Australia during the second innings of the third Test match held at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica. The team could only muster a mere 27 runs in 14.3 overs, losing all ten wickets.
Justin Greaves, batting at number seven, emerged as the top scorer for the West Indies, managing to score 11 runs off 24 balls, including two boundaries. Mikyle Louis and Alzarri Joseph each contributed four runs.
In an unprecedented turn of events, seven players from the West Indies were dismissed without scoring a single run in this innings. This marked a historic moment, as they became the first team in the 148-year history of Test cricket to have seven players dismissed for a duck in one innings.
Prior to this, there had been instances where at least six players were out without scoring, but never had seven batters failed to register a run in a single innings until now.

Mitchell Starc, the left-arm fast bowler for Australia, was the standout performer, taking six wickets for just nine runs in 7.3 overs during his 100th Test match. Scott Boland also made a significant impact, claiming two wickets.
Starc's exceptional performance included five wickets in just 15 balls. Boland further contributed to the West Indies' struggles by achieving a hat-trick, becoming the 10th Australian bowler to do so in Test cricket and the only bowler to secure a hat-trick in a day/night Test.
