Kohli Breaks Tendulkar's Record

In his first match after regaining the top spot in ODI batting, Indian cricket star Virat Kohli managed to score only 23 runs off 29 balls. Despite this, he has now become the leading run-scorer for India against New Zealand in One Day Internationals.


During the ODI match in Rajkot, fans were eager to see Kohli achieve his eighth consecutive fifty-plus score in List-A cricket. However, he was dismissed by Kristian Clarke after hitting two boundaries.


Kohli has amassed a total of 1,773 runs in 35 ODIs against New Zealand, boasting an impressive average of 55.4, which includes 10 fifties and a highest score of 154. In comparison, Sachin Tendulkar scored 1,750 runs in 42 matches at an average of 46.05, with five centuries and eight fifties. Kohli ranks as the second-highest run-scorer against New Zealand in ODIs, trailing behind Australian legend Ricky Ponting, who has 1,971 runs in 51 matches at an average of 45.83, including six centuries and 12 fifties.
