On Wednesday, during the second day of the IGU Southern India Junior Boys Golf Championship at Coimbatore Golf Club, Vihaan Jain showcased his skills amidst challenging weather conditions. The 16-year-old, fresh off his first junior win in Vizag last week, delivered an impressive even-par 72, establishing a three-shot advantage over fellow Haryana golfer Prince Bainsla, who scored 74. Tamil Nadu's Nilofer Sivamoorthy followed closely in third place with a score of 74.

Adhiraaj Singh Gill, who led overnight, struggled with a score of 79, resulting in a tie for fourth place alongside Karnataka's Vivaan Ubhayakar, both at nine-over 153.

Vihaan's round began slowly, but he gained momentum with a nine-foot birdie on the ninth hole. After the turn, he made a remarkable 35-foot birdie on the 13th. Despite a setback on the 16th hole, where he missed an eight-foot par putt after hitting the trees, he recovered with another birdie. However, he dropped shots on the 17th and 18th holes, finishing the day with an even-par score.
