Vidhatri Urs Claims Victory in Thrilling Playoff at Women's Pro Golf Tour
Dramatic Conclusion to the Final Round
Ridhima Dilawari faced a disappointing end to her round, double-bogeying the 18th hole, which led her into a playoff that she ultimately lost to Vidhatri Urs during the tenth leg of the Women's Pro Golf Tour. Both players finished the tournament tied at 2-under 214, with Vidhatri securing her first title of the season after a 21-month wait, her last victory being at the Delhi Golf Club in September 2024.
Urs Overcomes Early Challenges
Vidhatri, who played alongside Vani Kapoor (74), encountered difficulties early in her round, recording bogeys on the fifth and seventh holes. However, she made a strong comeback on the back nine, scoring consecutive birdies on the 11th and 12th holes before dropping a shot on the 17th. She set the clubhouse target at 2-under 214, waiting for Ridhima and Amandeep Drall to finish.
Ridhima's Rollercoaster Round
Starting the day with a two-shot lead, Ridhima struggled, dropping bogeys on the fifth and seventh holes. Despite regaining her lead with birdies on the 13th and 15th, a bogey on the 16th created tension. Heading into the final hole, a Par-5, she was still two shots ahead, needing only a bogey to secure her fourth title of the season. Unfortunately, she ended with a double bogey, allowing Vidhatri to force a playoff and ultimately win.
Final Standings and Other Competitors
Vani Kapoor was in contention until the 12th hole, where she was 1-under for the day and 3-under overall. However, a double bogey on the 13th derailed her momentum, and despite a birdie on the 16th, she finished third at even par 216 after a bogey-bogey finish. Amandeep Drall struggled with a 4-over 76, finishing fourth at 1-over 217. Young talent Saanvi Somu (74) placed fifth at 2-over 218, while Anvvi Dahhiya (70) was sixth at 3-over 219. Jasmine Shekar (74) and Kashika Misra (78) tied for seventh, while Anvitha Narender (75), Ananya Datar (75), and Mannat Brar (77) shared ninth at 8-over. Amateur Alysha Dutt (70), one of only two players to finish under par, tied for 12th with Riya Jadon (77).
