Venkatesh Iyer's Spiritual Visit

On Monday, Indian all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer made a pilgrimage to the revered Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams shrine in Tirupati, where he engaged in temple rituals and prayed for blessings from Lord Venkateswara. The temple officials greeted him with traditional honors and presented him with prasadam following his darshan.


Transition in IPL Career

Iyer, who played for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for five seasons from 2021 to 2025, is set to embark on a new journey with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2026. After being acquired by KKR for ₹23.75 crore during the 2025 mega auction, he was picked up by RCB for ₹7 crore in the 2026 mini-auction, indicating a significant reduction in his salary.


Throughout his IPL career, Iyer has participated in 62 matches, accumulating 1468 runs at an average of 29.95, including one century. His bowling contributions have been limited, with only three wickets taken.
