Vaishnavi Lodhi's Victory at the PWR50 Cup
Vaishnavi Lodhi showcased her exceptional skills at the PickleSpin PWR50 Cup, which took place from February 27 to March 1, where she emerged as the champion in the Women’s Singles 19+ category. In a commanding final match, Lodhi defeated Kanushree Garg with scores of 11-7 and 11-2, earning her the gold medal in this tournament sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA).
Lodhi's performance was marked by her precise shots and effective placement, allowing her to dominate the fast-paced rallies. Despite Garg's efforts to shift the momentum in her favor, she ultimately settled for the silver medal.
In an interview with Pickleball Now following her victory, Lodhi shared her thoughts on the competition, stating, “All the players were very good, no one was inferior to anyone. The best thing is that those who are not from the sports background are also playing very well. It’s a bit of an easy game. The court is small, so people from all categories are able to play easily. So, this game is good for everyone. And I would say that people from all categories should play.”
With her outstanding achievement, Lodhi not only claimed a prestigious title but also emphasized the inclusive nature of pickleball, encouraging individuals from diverse backgrounds to engage in the sport.
