Ojha remarked that he hopes the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has discovered its future 'poster boy' in Sooryavanshi.

Ojha stated, "I extend my warmest congratulations to Vaibhav and his family; this is a proud moment for all of us. He is the first young player selected for the Indian T20 team since Sachin Tendulkar, and as his coach, I am immensely proud. When discussing Vaibhav's selection, Ojha highlighted the young cricketer's impressive performances over the past two years. Sooryavanshi, who has been included in the Indian squad for upcoming tours to Ireland and England, as well as the Asian Games, has made history by becoming the youngest player ever selected for the national team. He broke a 36-year-old record previously held by the legendary Sachin Tendulkar, who debuted for India against Pakistan in 1989 at the age of 16.
