The 15-year-old cricket sensation, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, has captivated audiences with his explosive batting style. His remarkable innings of 97 runs off just 29 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the IPL 2026 Eliminator has firmly established him as a rising star in the sport.


Rajasthan Royals Advance to the Next Round

In the Eliminator match, Rajasthan Royals triumphed over SRH by 47 runs, securing their place in the second qualifier. They are set to compete against Gujarat Titans for a chance to reach the IPL 2026 final, where the defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), await.

Sooryavanshi's impressive performance has garnered admiration from cricket legends, including West Indies' Andre Russell and Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya. Record-Breaking Season

This season, Sooryavanshi has accumulated 680 runs in 15 innings, boasting an average of 45.33 and an astonishing strike rate of 242.85. His performance includes one century and four half-centuries, with a top score of 103. He has hit 55 fours and 65 sixes from 280 balls faced, surpassing Russell's boundary percentage from 2019.


Sooryavanshi has matched Chris Gayle's record for the most instances of hitting 10 or more sixes in an IPL innings, achieving this feat four times, with three occurrences in the current season alone.


Additionally, he broke Jayasuriya's record for the most sixes in the powerplay, hitting eight sixes during a match against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Mullanpur.
