Navi Mumbai: In an exciting encounter on Thursday, UP Warriorz clinched their inaugural victory in the Women’s Premier League by defeating Mumbai Indians by seven wickets. Harleen Deol was the star of the match, scoring an impressive 64 runs off just 39 balls.


Mumbai Indians batted first and managed to post a total of 161 runs for five wickets, thanks to a powerful innings from Nat Sciver-Brunt, who scored 65 runs off 43 balls. Nicola Carey also contributed significantly with a quick-fire 32 runs off 20 balls, helping the team score 107 runs in the final 10 overs.


Despite the challenging target, UP Warriorz successfully chased it down, with Harleen Deol leading the charge. Phoebe Litchfield and captain Meg Lanning both added valuable runs, scoring 25 runs each.


Chloe Tryon finished the match with a swift 27 runs off just 11 balls.
