The Ujjain Falcons have officially announced Chanchal Rathore as their captain for the upcoming Madhya Pradesh League (MPL) T20 Scindia Cup. Alongside him, promising young player Madhav Tiwari has been designated as the vice-captain.

Chanchal Rathore expressed his joy at being appointed captain, stating, "Leading Ujjain Falcons is a matter of pride for me. Our team is well-rounded, featuring a blend of seasoned players and emerging talent. The MPL serves as an excellent platform for showcasing skills and allowing young cricketers to establish their presence. We are eager for the challenges ahead and aim for a successful season."
Vice-captain Madhav Tiwari also conveyed his excitement, saying, "I am thrilled to be part of Ujjain Falcons. Our squad is filled with talent, and we have been training diligently for the tournament. Our goal is to play quality cricket and provide our fans with plenty of reasons to cheer. We are determined to make a significant impact in our inaugural season."
MPL Season Growth and Falcons' First Match
The Ujjain Falcons, one of the new entrants in the league, will kick off their campaign against the Gwalior Cheetahs on June 3 at the renowned Holkar Stadium in Indore. This season, the Madhya Pradesh League has seen considerable expansion, welcoming three new men's teams: Malwa Stallions, Ujjain Falcons, and Royal Nimar Eagles, bringing the total to ten men's franchises. Additionally, the women's competition has also expanded, with Gwalior Shernis and Royal Nimar Eagles joining the fray. The women's tournament is set to commence on June 4, featuring a match between Chambal Ghariyals and Gwalior Shernis at Daly College, Indore.
