On Sunday, Udhayveer Sidhu from India secured the gold medal in the Men's 10m Air Pistol event at the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol. The 24-year-old athlete showcased remarkable skill, finishing the medal match with a score of 240.6. He narrowly defeated Germany's renowned Olympic medallist Christian Reitz, who took home the silver with a score of 240.1. Italy's Paolo Monna earned the bronze medal with a score of 219.8, as reported by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI).

Udhayveer demonstrated exceptional composure during the tense final moments. Entering the last two shots, he was trailing Reitz by 0.3 points. However, he managed to fire scores of 10.2 and 9.8, while Reitz scored 9.6 on both attempts, allowing Udhayveer to clinch victory with his final shot.
Path to the Final
Earlier that day, Udhayveer qualified for the final round in fourth place, accumulating a total of 585 points over six series (99, 98, 98, 97, 97, 96). His compatriot, Jonathan Gavin Antony, who was competing for Ranking Points Only (RPO), achieved an impressive score of 586, tying for the highest qualification score with Monna.
