Traffic Advisory Issued Ahead of IPL Match

Traffic Advisory: In anticipation of the IPL match featuring Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at Ekana Cricket Stadium today, the Lucknow Police Commissionerate has released a detailed traffic advisory. This advisory will be in effect from 3 PM until midnight on May 23, outlining various restrictions and parking regulations for both commuters and spectators.

The advisory indicates that the movement of commercial vehicles will be restricted on city routes until the event concludes. Buses and larger vehicles are advised to take alternative paths. Private cars and taxis will be permitted entry, provided they adhere to parking guidelines and designated drop-off points. Attendees are encouraged to follow the recommended routes to the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium to prevent congestion and facilitate smooth traffic flow.

Key Traffic Arrangements for the Event

Traffic Management for Various Vehicles

For Roadway Buses and Commercial Vehicles:

– Vehicles arriving from Sultanpur Road will be redirected at Amalut Tiraha.

– Those coming from Arjunganj Cantonment will be diverted at Katai Bridge.

– All commuters are strongly advised to adhere to the diversion plan on Shaheed Path.

For City Buses:

– Selected city buses will operate during match hours between Husadiya and Sushant Golf City on Shaheed Path (only on the right side of the road).

For Auto/E-rickshaws:

– E-rickshaws and autos will not be allowed on Shaheed Path and the service road on match day.

– E-rickshaws coming from Arjunganj should turn left at Ahimamau, drop passengers behind PHQ, UP-112, and PGI, then proceed towards Gomti Nagar.

– Autos and e-rickshaws from Sultanpur Road will also turn left and drop passengers near Lulu Mall.

NOTE: No passenger drop-offs or pickups will be permitted within a 500-meter radius of Ahimamau.

For Ride-Hailing Services:

– Similar to city buses, ride-hailing services will not be allowed to pick up or drop off passengers on Shaheed Path between Husadiya and Sushant Golf City.

– Vehicles arriving from the airport must drop passengers before reaching Ahimamau.

– Vehicles from Arjunganj will turn left at Ahimamau and drop passengers behind PHQ, UP-112, before heading towards Gomtinagar via the G-20 intersection.
