In a light-hearted moment during a rainy practice session, Tim David of Royal Challengers Bengaluru entertained his teammates, showcasing his playful spirit. As RCB prepares to face Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025, the weather poses a challenge. With the team on the brink of playoff qualification, David's performance has been pivotal this season. RCB's Training Session Disrupted by Rain

On May 16, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) player Tim David lightened the mood for fans and teammates during a heavy downpour in Bengaluru. The IPL 2025 is scheduled to continue on May 17, with RCB set to face the reigning champions, Kolkata Knight Riders, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

The current IPL season faced a week-long suspension due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. Prior to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announcing the season's resumption, RCB players gathered for a training session at the stadium. However, the rain posed a significant threat to the upcoming match, disrupting their practice on Thursday.

Weather Uncertainty Ahead of RCB vs KKR Match

Despite the match between RCB and KKR scheduled for Friday, weather forecasts indicate potential rain that could impact the game's start or outcome.

Tim David's Playful Antics Amidst Rain

During the rain-soaked training session, Tim David made the best of the situation by playfully diving onto the waterlogged ground covers, much to the amusement of his teammates in the dressing room.

A video shared by RCB on their social media platform showcased Tim gliding through the drenched ground covers, eliciting laughter and cheers from his fellow players. He returned to the dressing room completely soaked, receiving applause and cheers for his humorous antics, providing a much-needed dose of comic relief during the dreary weather.

In IPL 2025, David has shown impressive form, scoring 186 runs, including a half-century, with an average of 93 and a strike rate of 193.75 across 8 innings.

RCB Poised for Playoff Qualification

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are on the verge of becoming the first team to qualify for the IPL 2025 playoffs. With 8 victories out of 11 matches, they currently hold a Net Run Rate of +0.482.

With 8 wins and 3 losses, the three-time IPL finalists sit in second place on the points table with 16 points. Besides the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, RCB will face Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants on May 23 and 27, respectively.

Under the leadership of Rajat Patidar, RCB is striving for their first IPL title. The Bengaluru franchise is among the original three teams, alongside Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings, that have yet to secure an IPL championship since the tournament's inception in 2008.
