Tiffany Stratton's Controversial Remarks Before Wrestlemania 41: No Punishment from WWE
Tiffany Stratton Stirs Controversy Ahead of Wrestlemania 41
As Wrestlemania 41 approaches, Tiffany Stratton has intensified the rivalry with Charlotte Flair by bringing up personal aspects of Flair's life. Stratton's comments about Flair's past marriage failures sparked controversy, with many viewers deeming them inappropriate for a live broadcast. Concerns arose regarding potential repercussions from WWE for her remarks.
Despite the personal nature of their exchanges, both wrestlers faced no disciplinary action from WWE prior to their match. Eric Bischoff, a former WWE and WCW executive, shared insights on his podcast regarding the situation.
On his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff suggested that Stratton's comments were a form of self-punishment, indicating that she would learn from her missteps during the segment.
Awkward Moments in the Ring
Bischoff elaborated that Stratton appeared visibly uncomfortable during the segment, struggling to recall her scripted lines. This awkwardness contributed to a less-than-stellar performance, prompting Bischoff to advise her to review the footage critically.
“She dropped the ball,” Bischoff remarked, adding that the experience would likely haunt Stratton as she reflects on her performance. “She’s going to learn from it. That’s about as much punishment as she needs, I guess.”
“When you see yourself back, it’s completely different than the way you felt in the moment. You don’t see yourself the way the audience sees you,” he noted.
The Off-Script Exchange
During the promo, Stratton referenced Flair's divorce history, deviating from the script, while Flair retaliated by mentioning that Stratton's boyfriend, WWE star Ludwig Kaiser, had been messaging her. This exchange was perceived as unprofessional, yet it did not alter their upcoming title match.
