Intensive Preparation for England Tour

Next month, Team India is set to embark on a tour of England for a five-match Test series. Prior to this, the India A team will compete in two unofficial four-day matches against England Lions. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has recently announced the squad for this series. Among the players, one is particularly focused on preparing for the England tour, having significantly reduced his weight and doubled his practice efforts. This player made his Test debut last year and was also part of the team during the tour of Australia.

Young Batter's Commitment to Fitness

Sarfaraz Khan, a promising young batsman from Team India, is putting in considerable effort for the upcoming England tour. He debuted against England in 2024 but has yet to play a Test match abroad. Therefore, he aims to deliver an impressive performance against England Lions to secure a spot in the senior team. For this tour, Sarfaraz has adopted a strict diet and has successfully lost weight.

Diet and Training Regimen

To maintain his fitness, Sarfaraz has implemented a strict diet plan consisting of boiled vegetables and chicken, which has helped him shed 10 kilograms. Additionally, he practices twice daily, focusing on disciplined play outside the off-stump, a crucial skill for success in England's swinging conditions.

Test Match Experience

So far, Sarfaraz Khan has played six Test matches for Team India, all of which took place in India. He has scored a total of 371 runs at an average of 37.10, including one century and three half-centuries. His last appearance for the team was against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, which occurred in November 2024.
