They successfully chased down a target of 214 runs, with notable performances from Yashasvi Jaiswal (61 runs), Shubman Gill (44 runs), Rishabh Pant (28 runs), and a quick 32 runs off just 15 balls from Mohammed Siraj.

This practice match served to refine their team combinations, assess bench strength, and acclimatize to Sri Lankan conditions ahead of the Test series. The upcoming matches are vital for Team India, as they aim to earn World Test Championship (WTC) points, which could significantly enhance their chances of qualifying for the WTC Final.

Indian Players Get Fresh Looks Ahead of Galle Test

As Team India gears up for the important opening Test against Sri Lanka at Galle International Stadium, some players took a break from their intense training to get stylish haircuts.

The players reportedly visited Chathuranga’s upscale beauty salon in Colombo on a day off, where they received fresh fades and trims before heading to Galle for the Test. A video that circulated widely on social media, particularly on X (formerly Twitter), showcased players like Sarfaraz Khan, Mohammed Siraj, Rishabh Pant, and Shubman Gill getting their hair styled by a celebrity barber.

In a playful moment, Siraj even attempted to give Sarfaraz a trim using an electric razor, adding a fun element to their grooming session before the Test.

This light-hearted video offered fans a glimpse into the team's camaraderie and relaxed vibe off the field, as players often groom themselves ahead of significant international tours and media engagements. Maintaining their personal style is part of their routine to stay sharp and focused during demanding multi-format tours.

The team remained in Colombo for an additional day as Sarfaraz Khan joined the squad, replacing the injured Sai Sudharsan, who was unable to recover from a toe injury in time for the series despite rehabilitation efforts at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
