Chennai (Tamil Nadu) [India], August 13: The Tamil Thalaivas have officially named Pawan Sehrawat as the Captain and Arjun Deshwal as the Vice-Captain for the upcoming Season 12 of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL). This decision marks an exciting new phase for the team as they aim for success.

Pawan Sehrawat, renowned as the High Flyer of PKL, is celebrated for his exceptional skills and has made a significant impact in the league's history. He was the most expensive player in Panchkula, having been acquired by Tamil Thalaivas for Rs 2.26 crores during Season 9. Pawan has also represented the Reserve Bank of India and earned accolades for the nation, including a gold medal at the 2019 South Asian Games and the 2023 Asian Kabaddi Championship.

Arjun Deshwal, known as the Raid Machine of PKL, will support Pawan as Vice-Captain. Originating from Uttar Pradesh, Arjun is not only a celebrated raider but also serves as a DSP in the state police. His impressive achievements include winning a gold medal with the Indian national team at the 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou, China.

In addition to the leadership roles, Tamil Thalaivas revealed their new primary kit for Season 12. The kit features a vibrant all-blue design complemented by striking gold accents, symbolizing the team's renewed vigor and aspirations. The gold elements reflect their ultimate goal of securing the top prize in kabaddi.

Head Coach Sanjeev Balyan praised the leadership duo, stating, "Pawan is a proven leader and one of the most formidable players in the league. His capacity to perform under pressure and motivate his teammates makes him the perfect captain for Tamil Thalaivas this season."
