Suryakumar Yadav Prepares for T20 Mumbai League

As the Indian Premier League concludes, the T20 Mumbai League is set to begin. Before the league kicks off, Suryakumar Yadav, the captain of Triumph Knights Mumbai North East, lightheartedly dismissed any pressure regarding the upcoming match against Shreyas Iyer's SoBo Mumbai Falcons. In a conversation, he humorously mentioned that he was unaware of Iyer's role as captain of the SoBo team. Nonetheless, he took a moment to commend Iyer's leadership skills demonstrated during his time with Punjab Kings. Speaking to a local media outlet, he remarked,

"Is he [Iyer] SoBo [Falcons] captain? I actually don’t know. I think it will be a good game because the way he’s leading in the IPL, and the way he plays for Mumbai, he had played the same way when we had the first season of the tournament [TML] in 2018. His excitement and the way he plays and spends time with other players is great."

The Triumph Knights are scheduled to face Shreyas' SoBo Mumbai on June 6. Surya aims to guide his team to victory for the second time. In the IPL, Iyer's Punjab Kings had previously triumphed over Surya's Mumbai Indians in the second qualifier, but they faced disappointment when Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated them by six wickets, securing the championship after an eight-year wait.

Angrish Raghuvangshi Takes Charge of SoBo Mumbai

Currently, the SoBo Mumbai Falcons are competing against ARCS Andheri at the DY Patil Sports Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Musheer Khan, who played for Punjab Kings in IPL 2025, is now part of ARCS Andheri and was seen bowling for his team. Reports indicate that he arrived in Navi Mumbai at 5 am to prepare for the match, which commenced at 10:30 am.

Unfortunately, Shreyas Iyer was unable to participate, leading to Angrish Raghuvangshi stepping in as captain. The match was affected by rain, resulting in a reduction to three overs per side. Both teams ended up with identical scores, necessitating a Super Over. The Falcons managed to score 27 runs in the Super Over, while Andheri could only muster 13, granting SoBo Mumbai Falcons the victory.
