On Wednesday, Suryakumar Yadav, the former captain of India's T20 World Cup-winning team, shared a touching moment on Instagram, showcasing his celebration of Ganesh Chaturthi with his family. The post featured him alongside his wife, Devisha, and their daughter, Riddhima, with the heartfelt message, "Ganpati Bappa Morya! May Bappa bring happiness, health, and success to all."



Suryakumar Yadav's Remarkable Career

Recently turning 36, Suryakumar has made significant contributions to Indian cricket, being a two-time T20 World Cup champion and a pioneer in T20I batting. He was honored with the ICC Men’s T20I Cricketer of the Year award in both 2022 and 2023.


In October 2022, he ascended to the top of the ICC Men’s T20I Batting Rankings, achieving a remarkable 910 rating points in January 2023, one of the highest in T20I history.


Key Achievements in T20I

Suryakumar played a pivotal role in India's victory at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, famously catching David Miller in the final against South Africa. He later captained the team to a successful title defense in the 2026 T20 World Cup and led India to victory in the T20 Asia Cup 2025 held in the UAE.

Known for his dynamic batting style, Suryakumar has scored 3,272 runs in 113 T20Is, averaging 36.35 with an impressive strike rate of 162.94. His record includes four centuries and 25 fifties, making him the third-highest run-scorer for India in T20Is.
