The innings began with Abhishek Sharma (35 runs off 13 balls) and Travis Head (38 runs off 19 balls) forming a solid partnership, taking advantage of Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen's bowling. Klaasen (69 runs off 43 balls) and Kishan (55 runs off 32 balls) capitalized on several missed chances to secure their half-centuries, setting a challenging target for the bowlers.

Nitish Reddy also contributed significantly with a quickfire 29 not out off 13 balls, further enhancing the total.
