Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has officially signed RS Ambrish as a replacement for Shivam Mavi, who is sidelined due to a groin injury, for the remainder of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season.

RS Ambrish is an all-rounder who played a pivotal role in India's victory at the ICC Men's Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026, where he emerged as one of the team's leading wicket-takers, securing 11 wickets throughout the tournament.
Official Announcement of Replacement
"The Sunrisers Hyderabad have signed RS Ambrish as an injury replacement for Shivam Mavi for the ongoing TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. Mavi, a right-arm medium pacer, is out due to a groin injury," stated an official IPL announcement.
"Ambrish, who is both a right-arm medium pacer and a left-handed batsman, will join the SRH squad for a fee of INR 30 Lakh," the statement continued.
SRH's Promising Season
Ambrish joins a youthful bowling lineup, which includes promising talents like Praful Hinge (24) and Sakib Hussain (21), both of whom have performed admirably this season. Currently, Sunrisers Hyderabad is positioned third in the league standings with 12 points, having achieved five consecutive wins. Their next match is against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Hyderabad on Sunday, May 3.
