Sourav Ganguly Files Police Complaint


Kolkata: On Thursday, former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly filed a police report against the leader of a Kolkata-based Argentina football fan club, claiming the individual made inappropriate comments about him, according to a senior police official.


In his complaint, which was sent via email to the Cyber Cell of Kolkata Police, Ganguly expressed that the remarks have negatively impacted his reputation and mental well-being.


The police officer noted, "The complaint alleges that the individual made serious accusations against Ganguly without any factual support."


These remarks were reportedly made during a conversation with a journalist.


Ganguly further stated in his complaint that such unfounded claims seem to be an effort to damage his well-established reputation.
