On April 15, India's Arjun Singh and Aditya Singh clinched the Men's Doubles 5.0 title at the US Open Pickleball Championships held in Florida. The duo triumphed over Joe Moede and Wen Lin in a nail-biting three-set match, finishing with scores of 9-11, 11-2, and 11-7. This victory highlighted their impressive performance throughout the tournament, showcasing their resilience and strategic gameplay after initially losing the first set. Quickly regrouping, the Singh brothers took control in the subsequent sets with aggressive net tactics and accurate shot placements, leaving their opponents struggling to find their rhythm.
This win marked Arjun's third gold medal, while Aditya celebrated his second title at these championships. Their growing prowess on the court is evident as they continue to make a name for themselves on the international pickleball scene, demonstrating their ability to excel under pressure. Earlier in the tournament, Arjun also secured the Men's Singles 5.0 title, while he and Aditya teamed up to win the Under-18 Boys Doubles title. Arjun's singles victory further emphasized his dominance at the event, as he entered the finals with strong momentum from previous competitions.
In the singles final, Arjun faced Ashton Patterson, where he showcased his skills by winning 13-11, 11-6, demonstrating both composure and an aggressive playing style during critical moments. Patterson and Joe Moede took home the silver and bronze medals, respectively.
The Singh brothers also excelled in the junior category, defeating the top-seeded American team of Ryder Brown and Soli Messiri in the U18 Boys doubles final with a decisive score of 11-1, 11-5. Collectively, their achievements reflect a remarkable performance across various categories, combining consistency with flair.
