In an exciting turn of events, Sara X Golf Code triumphed in a nail-biting playoff against Athletic Drive, while Baale Golf narrowly defeated SwingKKings to secure their spots in the finals of the fifth edition of the Delhi Golf Club Members League, hosted at the prestigious Delhi Golf Club.

Sara X Golf Code Triumphs in Playoff

The playoff featured a showdown between Pratap Singh Atwal and Simar Inder Singh from Sara X Golf Code against Athletic Drive's Surya Uday Bedi and Bikkrama Daulet Singh. Atwal showcased his skills with a powerful drive from the tee, setting up a 9-iron approach to the green on a par-5 hole. Simar Inder also delivered a solid tee shot that landed on the fairway. Unfortunately for Athletic Drive, Bikkrama's tee shot veered into the left thicket, while Surya found himself in a decent position on the left side of the fairway.

Bikkrama managed to reach the green in five shots after chipping onto the fairway, while Surya's second shot landed in the left thicket and then in the right fairway bunker, also reaching the green in five. Simar Inder successfully reached the green in regulation, finishing with a par. Meanwhile, Atwal, demonstrating exceptional ball striking, hit his approach shot to within 15 feet of the pin and secured a birdie, propelling Sara X Golf Code into the finals.

Match Progression

The match commenced with Athletic Drive winning the first game. However, Sara X Golf Code quickly gained momentum, winning the second, third, and fourth games. The fifth game ended in a tie. Just when it seemed Athletic Drive was losing ground, they rallied back to win the sixth and seventh games, forcing a playoff. Both teams concluded with 7 points each.

Baale Golf Defeats SwingKKings

In the second quarter-final, SwingKKings initially took the lead by winning the first game. However, Baale Golf bounced back, winning the second, third, and fourth games, putting them in a favorable position. SwingKKings managed to win the fifth game, momentarily regaining the upper hand.

Despite this, Baale Golf clinched victory in the sixth game, sealing their win. The seventh and final game was merely a consolation for SwingKKings, as Baale Golf finished with 8 points, while SwingKKings ended with 6 points.
