Sanju Samson's Desire to Leave Rajasthan Royals

Sanju Samson is reportedly looking to part ways with his current IPL team, Rajasthan Royals. Meanwhile, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are keen on bringing him into their squad, potentially positioning him as a successor to MS Dhoni. To facilitate this transfer, CSK is actively negotiating with Rajasthan Royals. According to sources, RR is seeking two players in exchange for Samson.

Reasons Behind Samson's Potential Departure

There are various speculations regarding why Samson wishes to leave his franchise. Several cricket experts have shared their opinions on the matter, including former cricketer Robin Uthappa, who has elaborated on the factors that might make Samson feel out of place at Rajasthan. He has also provided suggestions to CSK on how they could successfully acquire this star player and which two players could be traded from Rajasthan.

Uthappa's Analysis of Rajasthan Royals' Culture

On his YouTube channel, Uthappa discussed the culture of Rajasthan Royals, which has historically focused on nurturing young talent. The team already boasts promising players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryawanshi, and Riyan Parag. Uthappa suggested that Samson may feel the need to explore opportunities with other teams, as he has recognized the writing on the wall regarding his position in the batting order.

Batting Order Concerns for Samson

Uthappa pointed out that with Jaiswal, Suryawanshi, and Parag in the lineup, Samson might have to bat lower down the order, specifically at number four. This is not ideal for him, especially since he opens for India in T20 matches.

Trade Possibilities for CSK

Uthappa also shared insights on how CSK could secure Samson's services. Given that Samson's current market value is around ₹18 crores, negotiating a trade deal could be challenging. He believes that CSK should consider offering R. Ashwin and Vijay Shankar in exchange for acquiring Sanju Samson from Rajasthan Royals.
