At just 24 years old, this talented player from Dabra Village (Hisar) will co-captain the Kalinga Lancers alongside Belgium's Arthur Van Doren, marking him as the youngest co-captain in the tournament's history.

Having relocated to Chandigarh at the age of 11, Sanjay joined CHA in 2011 at the Sector 42 Sports Complex. As a skilled defender and India's second drag-flicker, he has represented Chandigarh in various national competitions and has earned accolades for his contributions to the sport.

In a statement to a local media outlet, Sanjay expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to lead Kalinga Lancers, acknowledging the responsibilities that come with it. He emphasized the importance of team dynamics, communication, and decision-making under pressure, stating that leadership enhances his mental resilience and accountability.

Sanjay was part of the Indian team that clinched gold at the 2023 Asian Champions Trophy and became the youngest member of the squad that secured a bronze medal at the Olympics the following year. He also led the India A team during exposure tours in Europe and South Africa last year.
