Exciting Opportunity for Sangram Singh

Sangram Singh, an Indian Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter and ambassador for Fit India, is thrilled about his upcoming match against Florian Coudiere in Argentina, viewing it as a pivotal moment in his career.

Historic Bout in Argentina

Scheduled for April 5 in Tigre, Buenos Aires, this fight will mark Sangram as the first Indian MMA competitor to step into the ring in Argentina, a landmark achievement for Indian combat sports.

The Commonwealth Heavyweight Champion expressed immense pride in this milestone, stating that a win could inspire both sponsors and aspiring athletes to chase their dreams in the sport.

Adapting to a New Opponent

Initially, Sangram was set to face French fighter Mauteu Moteiro, who had to withdraw due to a knee injury. Florian Coudiere has since stepped in as his new opponent.

Sangram noted that he had to adjust his training regimen, which previously focused on punches, kicks, and Jujutsu, to prepare for this unexpected change. Despite the challenge of facing someone unfamiliar, he remains optimistic about his readiness.

Reflections on Preparation

Sangram shared insights on his training, stating, "I had to learn a lot of things. Last time I worked on punch, kick. I also worked on Jujutsu. I have prepared a lot for my old opponent. He had an injury, and now my opponent has changed. It is very difficult. I don't know much about him. I don't know what he does, so this time it will be a little difficult, but I prepared myself for this as well. I am very excited."

He emphasized the importance of preparation in sports, saying, "You are not perfect in sports. You can only prepare. I believe that if anyone says anything to me, I don't answer. You can answer with your actions in the ring."

A Look at Past Successes

Sangram has previously achieved remarkable victories in his MMA career, including a swift win against Pakistani fighter Ali Raza Nasir in Tbilisi in just 90 seconds, followed by a victory over Tunisian wrestler Hakim Tarabelsi in Amsterdam.
