Chennai: In a thrilling IPL encounter on Sunday, Sai Sudharsan's remarkable innings of 87 propelled the Gujarat Titans to an impressive eight-wicket victory against the Chennai Super Kings.


Sudharsan showcased his batting prowess by smashing four boundaries and seven sixes off just 46 deliveries. He first partnered with captain Shubman Gill, contributing to a solid 58-run opening stand before forming a formidable 97-run partnership with Jos Buttler, who remained unbeaten on 39. The Titans successfully chased down the target of 159 with 20 balls remaining.


For the Super Kings, bowlers Noor Ahmad and Akeal Hosein each claimed a wicket as the Titans reached 162 for 2 in just 16.4 overs.


Earlier in the match, CSK's captain Ruturaj Gaikwad played a crucial role, scoring an unbeaten 74 to help his team post a total of 158 for 7 after a slow start. Gaikwad faced 60 balls, hitting six fours and four sixes, and was supported by Jamie Overton, who contributed a quick 18 runs off six balls to push CSK past the 150-run mark.
