Amorim's Evolution as a Coach

Manchester [UK], December 25: Ruben Amorim, the manager of Manchester United, has expressed that he has evolved into a "different" and "better" coach over the past year. He acknowledges that his experiences since taking the helm have taught him valuable lessons, as reported by a leading sports outlet.

As Manchester United prepares to face Newcastle on December 27 (Indian Standard Time) in the Boxing Day match, they currently sit 7th in the Premier League with 26 points. A victory would allow them to equal Chelsea's points, who are set to compete against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Amorim stated that the past year has provided him with more insights than his previous five years in management, indicating that he would approach many situations, including tactical decisions, quite differently if given the chance.

"If I could revisit last year, I would change many things. This year has been a significant learning experience compared to the last five. I plan to adjust various aspects, not just in strategy but also in our style of play," Amorim remarked, as cited by the sports outlet.

He further elaborated that while he would modify approximately 75% of his approach, the fundamental principles and critical decisions would remain intact.

"Regardless of what lies ahead, I have gained immense knowledge and transformed as a manager. It's challenging to pinpoint a single aspect, but I realize that I may not have always made the best choices regarding the squad I had last year. I have reviewed last season's matches to gain different perspectives. Today, I am a different manager, and while I will change about 75% of my methods, the core values will stay the same. I believe I am a better manager now," Amorim concluded.
