Royal Challengers Bengaluru Triumphs Again in Women's Premier League with Stellar Performances
RCB Secures Third Consecutive Win
Navi Mumbai: The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) celebrated their third consecutive victory in the Women's Premier League on Friday, defeating the Gujarat Giants by 32 runs. This win was propelled by a remarkable century partnership between Indian players Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh, alongside a stellar five-wicket haul from spinner Shreyanka Patil.
After being put to bat first, RCB found themselves in a precarious position at 43 for 4 in the sixth over. However, Yadav (66 runs off 47 balls) and Ghosh (44 runs off 28 balls) combined forces to build a solid 105-run partnership for the fifth wicket, leading RCB to a total of 182 for 7.
In response, the Gujarat Giants struggled against RCB's bowlers, getting bowled out for 150 runs in just 18.5 overs. Patil's impressive bowling figures of 5 for 23 and Lauren Bell's 3 for 29 dismantled the opposition's batting lineup.
Despite a brief resistance from Bharti Fulmali, who scored 39 runs off 20 balls, her dismissal by Bell in the 17th over marked a turning point, leaving the Giants at 139 for 7, from which they could not recover.
