The IPL 2026 season concluded with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) securing their first title defense by defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31.
This victory marks RCB as only the third team in IPL history, following Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, to successfully defend their championship title. Led by Rajat Patidar, RCB entered the final under significant pressure but showcased remarkable composure, effectively dismantling the Gujarat Titans' bowling attack during their chase.

The list of top run-scorers also featured Sunrisers Hyderabad's Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan, who scored 624 and 602 runs, respectively, showcasing the depth of batting talent throughout the season.
