New World Record Achieved

Angelo and Ettore Rossetti, renowned pickleball players, have established a new world record by executing 113 consecutive volleys within a minute. This remarkable feat marks their fifth world record and is part of a broader initiative in collaboration with Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR) aimed at supporting cancer survivors during National Cancer Prevention Month. The Rossetti siblings, who have previously set Guinness World Records in both tennis and pickleball on their initial attempts, dedicated this achievement to cancer victims, particularly their late mother who succumbed to pancreatic cancer.

In the wake of their record-setting performance, the brothers introduced the PB Volley Challenge, encouraging players globally to participate in a straightforward initiative designed to raise awareness and funds.

Details of the Challenge:

  • Contribute to a charity of your choice

  • Record a one-minute pickleball volley

This challenge has already gained momentum, with nominations from prominent athletes such as Anna Leigh Waters, Ben Johns, and Roger Federer, alongside global icons like Michael Jordan and Michael Phelps.

Pickleball’s Impact Beyond the Court

The surge in pickleball's popularity is evident, but its contribution to social awareness is equally noteworthy. The sport is designed to be inclusive, allowing participation from individuals of all ages, including those in their 70s and 80s. Over the years, pickleball has supported various social causes, from funding children's healthcare to raising awareness about lung cancer and aiding individuals facing depression through community initiatives.

With DUPR's support, the PB Volley Challenge is poised to reach an even broader audience, leveraging the sport's increasing popularity to promote awareness and support for cancer-related initiatives.
