In the 54th match of the Indian Premier League 2026 against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians' star player Rohit Sharma reached a significant milestone, equaling the records of legends Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli. With this match, Rohit has now become the joint 'number one' player in IPL history for the most matches played.

Ravindra Jadeja follows in second place with 265 matches, while Dinesh Karthik is third with 257 matches. To date, only 12 players have participated in over 200 IPL matches.
