Champions of the 40+ Men's Doubles Category

Rohan Dsouza and Himanshu Diwaskar showcased their skills at the Picklebay Zonals - North, a PWR 700 event sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), held at Horizon x Courtplay in Gurgaon on June 26. The duo emerged victorious in the 40+ Men's Doubles category, delivering a stellar performance throughout the tournament. In the final match, they decisively defeated Naveen T and Sreekar with a score of 15-4, securing the championship title.

From the outset, Rohan and Himanshu demonstrated their dominance, easily overcoming Ayush Kwatra and Apoorv Vats with an 11-3 victory in the quarterfinals. Their exceptional teamwork and court awareness proved overwhelming for their competitors. The semifinal was more competitive, but the pair maintained their composure, clinching a thrilling 15-11 win against Akhil Mathur and Rachit Channana. In the final, they maintained control from the first serve, outclassing their opponents in every aspect of the game.

On the other hand, Naveen and Sreekar reached the final after defeating Kishan Patel and Dhiren Patel with a score of 15-6 in the second semifinal. Despite their strong semifinal performance, they struggled to keep up with the intensity and precision exhibited by Rohan and Himanshu during the championship match.
