Rithika Triumphs in Women's Singles at Indian Open 2026

Rithika's Victory at Indian Open 2026


On April 1, Rithika claimed the title in the Women’s Singles Advance category during the inaugural day of the Indian Open 2026, a PWR 1000 event sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), held at CrossCourts in Hyderabad. She secured a decisive win against Khushi Sachdeva with scores of 11-3 and 12-10 in the final match. Rithika expressed her excitement, stating, “Playing on the center court was an incredible experience. Khushi challenged me throughout the match, and I felt nervous until the end. I didn’t expect to win, but I’m thrilled with my performance and the organization of the tournament.” As the champion, she received a cash prize of Rs 50,000, while Khushi earned Rs 25,000 for her second-place finish.


Rithika also praised the event organizers, commending Global Sports for their efficient management. “Everything has been running smoothly. Kudos to Global Sports for hosting such a fantastic event,” she remarked. Her victory set an exhilarating tone for the opening day of the Indian Open, which has attracted over 1,100 participants competing in 54 categories for a total prize pool of $50,000.
