Rishabh Pant Highlights Team Unity Ahead of IPL 2026
Pant's Emphasis on Team Cohesion and Clarity
Rishabh Pant, the captain of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), underscored the significance of team unity, effective communication, and clear objectives as the franchise gears up for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) season, which kicks off on March 28.
In a video posted by the Lucknow franchise on their social media platform, Pant welcomed both returning players and newcomers, encouraging them to prioritize relationship-building during the pre-season training camp.
"Many players are returning from last year, and we have some new faces. Welcome to everyone. Let's keep our approach straightforward. Our focus should be on fostering relationships. If we don't engage in discussions about cricket, we won't see improvement. Individually, let's absorb as much as we can from each other and aim to create something special this season," Pant stated.

The wicketkeeper-batter also highlighted the importance of mental clarity as the new season approaches, stressing that players should establish both personal and team goals. "As we enter a new season, we often think about building something and striving for victory. However, it's crucial to have clarity in our thought process regarding our individual and team aspirations. This is the perfect time to gain that clarity," he added.
Pant described the gathering as an initial step in their preparations, with the rest of the team expected to join shortly. He urged his teammates to enjoy the process while maintaining high energy levels. "This is essentially a season camp, but still a pre-season camp since the remaining squad members will join around March 15-16. Let's take this opportunity to get to know each other better and have a fantastic time together. Keep the communication flowing, bring lots of energy, and make it fun while learning. Let's create something memorable," Pant concluded.
