Rahul will take charge as the team will be without their designated ODI captain, Shubman Gill, who sustained an injury on the second day of the Kolkata Test. Gill faced only three balls in the first innings before retiring hurt and was subsequently taken to the hospital. His recovery is ongoing, and he will be evaluated in Mumbai.
