Hyderabad: The Royal Challengers Bengaluru's recent IPL triumph led to exuberant celebrations across the city, prompting police action.

Authorities had to implement a mild lathi charge to manage the crowd of enthusiastic fans who took to the streets.

On Sunday night, numerous young supporters gathered near the State Secretariat, KPHB, and various other locations to commemorate RCB's victory.

The festivities escalated into chaos as fans set off firecrackers and disrupted traffic flow.

Viral videos captured scenes of individuals leaping over barricades while igniting firecrackers in the streets.

In response to the disorder, police intervened to disperse the crowd, which was obstructing roadways and creating disturbances, according to an official statement.

Another police representative confirmed that 17 individuals were charged under the KPHB police station jurisdiction for public nuisance while allegedly intoxicated.
