RCB Proposes Advanced AI Surveillance for Enhanced Fan Safety at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
RCB's Proposal for AI Cameras
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has submitted a formal proposal to the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) to install between 300 to 350 AI-enabled cameras at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. This cutting-edge surveillance technology aims to assist KSCA and law enforcement agencies in effectively managing crowd movement, ensuring orderly queue systems, tracking entry and exit in real-time, and enhancing overall fan safety.
Benefits of AI Surveillance
The proposed solution leverages advanced analysis of video, audio, and text data to expedite investigations and facilitate quick, accurate decision-making. Its real-time AI video analytics capability allows for the swift detection of incidents such as violence, unauthorized access, and intrusions, thereby aiding prompt and effective law enforcement responses. RCB has committed to covering the total estimated cost of this initiative, which is around ₹4.5 crores.
Partnership with Staqoo
To enhance public safety through automation and data-driven intelligence, RCB has partnered with Staqoo, a technology firm with a proven track record. Staqoo's state-of-the-art facial recognition technology and intelligent monitoring of objects, crowds, perimeters, and vehicles have supported various state police forces in their routine surveillance and investigations. The integration of this advanced technology is expected to improve crowd management standards, ensuring a safe, accessible, and seamless match day experience for all fans.
