The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), the reigning champions, have made strategic moves as they gear up for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2027 season. Retaining 13 players while parting ways with four, RCB aims to build on their success from the previous season. They celebrated a remarkable victory in the 2026 season, securing the WPL title by defeating the Delhi Capitals by six wickets in the final held at Kotambi Stadium, Vadodara, on February 5. RCB's successful chase of 204 runs in the final marked the highest successful run chase in WPL history. Smriti Mandhana was instrumental in this victory, scoring an impressive 87 runs off just 41 balls, supported by Georgia Voll, who contributed a brisk 79 runs.
