He stated, “Today marks a special day and a new beginning. It is said that every ending leads to a new start; my journey as an IPL player concludes today, but my adventure in exploring the game across different leagues begins now.”

Ashwin's Performance in IPL
In the 2025 IPL season, Ashwin played for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), who acquired him for INR 9.75 crore. Unfortunately, he had a lackluster season, taking only 7 wickets in 9 matches. There were also rumors that Ashwin and CSK were set to part ways for the next IPL season.
