Rajasthan Royals Secure Victory Against Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025
Rajasthan Royals Celebrate Win Over CSK
Following their recent triumph against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Tuesday, Yashasvi Jaiswal, the opener for Rajasthan Royals (RR), shared his reflections on the team's performance during the 62nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 held at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.
Rajasthan concluded their disappointing campaign in the 18th season of IPL on a high note, achieving a six-wicket victory at the high-scoring venue against CSK.
Jaiswal Reflects on the Team's Performance
In the post-match presentation, Jaiswal expressed, "It was a great experience. We gave it our all, and I truly enjoyed the match. Despite facing several injuries, Sanju bhai returned after a few games, and it turned out to be a good game for us. We will carry this confidence into the future. Regarding Suryavanshi, he performed exceptionally well today, showcasing his talent throughout the tournament. Our bowlers executed our plans effectively; I encouraged them to approach their tasks with clarity and focus."
Strong Start by Jaiswal and Suryavanshi
Chasing a target of 188 runs, the Royals began strongly, with the young opening duo of Jaiswal and Suryavanshi putting pressure on the Chennai bowlers. Jaiswal, in particular, was aggressive, targeting Khaleel Ahmed and Anshul Kamboj.
He scored 36 runs off just 18 balls, hitting three fours and a massive six in the third over before Kamboj dismissed him with a slight inside edge that sent the ball crashing into the stumps.
Key Contributions Lead to Victory
Suryavanshi and captain Sanju Samson formed a crucial partnership, adding 98 runs for the second wicket, which significantly weakened Chennai's defense. The 14-year-old sensation, Suryavanshi, celebrated his half-century in style by launching the ball over deep square.
Ravichandran Ashwin ended the 98-run partnership by dismissing Samson (41) and then Suryavanshi (57) in the same over. Noor Ahmad also took a wicket, trapping Riyan Parag with a googly, but by then, Chennai was already trailing far behind.
Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer remained at the crease until the end, guiding Rajasthan to victory in their final match of the 18th season of the lucrative league.
