Rajanvir Singh's Remarkable Victory


On March 1, Rajanvir Singh Dharni clinched the title in the Men’s Singles 19+ category during the PickleSpin PWR50 Cup, an event sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association, held in Kanpur. After losing the first game, Rajanvir made a remarkable comeback to defeat Arunav Vaish with scores of 5-11, 11-9, and 11-2, ultimately winning the championship.


In the semifinals, Rajanvir showcased his skills by overpowering Ayush Bansal with a score of 11-6, 11-2, securing his spot in the final. Meanwhile, Arunav faced a challenging semifinal against Mukul Lodhi, where he emerged victorious with a scoreline of 11-0, 9-11, 11-0, setting the stage for the final showdown against Rajanvir.


Both finalists had previously demonstrated their prowess in the quarterfinals. Rajanvir advanced by defeating Vimanyu Agarwal 11-3, 11-2, while Arunav comfortably overcame Harsh Sharma with a score of 11-2, 11-2, to reach the semifinals. With consistent performances throughout the knockout stages and a strong comeback in the final, Rajanvir concluded an impressive tournament by securing the men’s singles title.
