Expressing his enthusiasm about the return, Chahar stated, "I am thrilled to be back at Surrey this season. My brief stint in 2025 was enjoyable, and I eagerly accepted the chance to return after discussing it with Alec Stewart."

"Surrey is a prestigious club, and I aim to contribute to the team's success in 2026," he further remarked.

Impressive Debut and Club Milestone

Chahar made a remarkable debut for Surrey last September, achieving 10 wickets in a stunning victory against Hampshire. He will be available for the last eight matches, starting with the game against Hampshire at the Kia Oval on June 7, as reported on the Surrey cricket website.

During his only appearance last year, Chahar showcased his skillful and innovative bowling, claiming eight wickets in the second innings, which helped Surrey secure a notable win. His figures of 8/51 set a new record for the best first-class bowling by a debutant for the club, surpassing William Mudie's 166-year-old record of 7/61 from 1859.
